Add Your Gmail Account to Postbox Using IMAP

To set up your Postbox to work with Gmail:

  • Enable IMAP in Gmail
  1. Sign in to Gmail.
  2. Click the gear icon in the upper-right and select Gmail settings at the top of any Gmail page.
  3. Click Forwarding and POP/IMAP
  4. Select Enable IMAP.
  5. Configure your IMAP client and click Save Changes.

  • When you first launch Postbox, it should take you to the New Account Setup page. If it does not, or you are adding an additional account, click on File > New >Mail Account

  • Provide your Nameand Email address, then click Manual Setup

  • Enter your server information,
  • Incoming Server Name : imap.gmail.com
  • Type : IMAP
  • Port : 993 or 143
  • Security : SSL/TLS
  • Outgoing Server Name : smtp.gmail.com
  • Port : 25 or 465
  • Security : SSL/TLS
  • Then click on Finish

  • Type your password and press OK
