Add Your OTHER email services to iPhone Using IMAP

Adding your "other" type of email account for a standard imap server setup is simple.

  • From the iPhone Home screen, choose Settings

  • Look down the list and Tap to select Mail

  • Tap into this Accounts section and then choose Add Account

  • For setting up email with IMAP, choose other

  • Now you'll select Add Mail Account under the Mail section

  • Enter your information as below, Then tap Next
    Name : As you'd like it shown
    Address : full email address
    Password : password for your email account
    Description : a description to see the account in your folder list

  • From here be sure to Select IMAP

  • Now fill in your incomig imap server (host name) address, your User Name for the mail server (usually your full email address), and then your password. Note: You can usually find server settings in the help section of your webmail site.

  • Fill in your outgoing SMTP settings here too

  • You'll finish setup by choosing Mail and even Notes if you like, (when shown), and then tap Save
